We've been to Dr. Porter for years, we have loved it every time. He is always so patient and positive with the kids. He always makes sure they leave feeling good about themselves!

Gentle Family Dentistry in Wake Forest Two sisters own it. My 10 year old has sensory integration disorder and they understand and were and are amazing at helping my daughter go through teeth cleaning and recently a cavity that needed a shot of nova cane. The staff was amazing and she didn't feel a thing. My daughter now loves the dentist and even wanted to go to my appointment. Call and explain your needs they will accommodate. They mailed my daughter a welcome kit with little book for her first appointment. She loved it. We went to a local highly recommended ped dentist and it was an awful experience they knew nothing of sensory needs. Gentle family dentistry does. Good luck...

My daughter also has SPD. She had terrible experiences before going to Triangle Pediatric. Dr Porter & staff are incredible!! She now enjoys the dentist.

Dr Buddy!!! Or Dr Porter. Triangle Pediatric dentistry on Rogers road. We hosted an orphan from Ukraine who had never had dental work and needed 8 rotting baby teeth pulled and Dr Buddy was SO sweet and patient as was his staff. Can't recommend them highly enough!

We did not have a good experience with Dr Johnson's office, she was nice but the hygienist just made for a terrible experience. We loved Soutpoint Pedo, it is certainly worth the drive as my toddler now clamps his mouth closed when you come near. The atmosphere and employees there really made him comfortable.

We go to Triangle Pediatric Dentistry on Rogers Rd and see Dr. Buddy. My son also has sensory issues. They're very patient and don't push my son to do things he's not ready for (like sit for x-rays, sit in the reclining chair). I get frustrated, and they're ok. This last visit was our third or fourth, and he sat in the big chair instead of in my lap leaning back with his head in the dentist's lap. They would have still let me do that if we had needed to. They give the kids sunglasses in the chair because the light is so bright. They also don't use polishers on him (age 4). They just clean his teeth with a regular toothbrush and floss.

Dr. Porter@Carolina (or Triangle) pediatric. Best dentist ever!!! (After having to have my son sedated to have his teeth CLEANED before him). Hygienists are great and dr porter was great with him!!

Dr. Carl McMillan specializes in working with autistic children and these children often have sensory issues. He's not a pediatric dentist BUT he does consults for young children and is very up to date in treating any decay issues holistically ( using nutritional, homeopathic, and study based treatments ) so they can avoid sedation as scientific research now shows an increase in deficit disorders and sedation in very young children. My son had some oral sensory issues and at age 2 we learned he had a class III tongue tie and a lip tie. He preferred certain foods, smooth or crunchy, and starchy and he didn't want anyone near his mouth, he also had colic/reflux as a baby. My boys (5 and 7) go to Riccobene Kids in Cary. It's a bit of a haul for us, but they make the wee ones very comfortable. They have knight/dragon/princess murals all over the walls and televisions on the ceilings of the treatment rooms. They explain everything to the children in friendly language, and I am impressed with how well they handle the kids every time we go. (*Plus* there's a free Starbuck's machine in the lobby.):)

I don't go to a pediatric dentist but they are great with kids. I think they take all insurances but you can look him up on the web and his website tells you. Jason Mullen in Clayton. It is far for us to go but he was somewhere else when I started going to him and followed him. I have a co-worker that drives all the way from Cary to see him because he likes him so much. I once worked for Dr. Horowitz and Parrish off Creedmore. They were in with a set of orthodontist. They were awesome! Love them!

Agree with wake orthopedic. Adorable dentists. My friend is a hygentist there also. I went there for a second opinion because one dentist wanted to put crowns on my 4 year old. Dr Dave at wake did not agree an they went a different path and I was so happy. Love them

Yup! Midtown Pediatric Dentistry on Six Forks. They have tv's above the chairs & in the lobby for great distraction. Most importantly hey are really caring & gentle with the kids! The office is really cute & welcoming as well! They have a website if you want to check it out.:)

Brier Creek Peds dentistry is excellent

We love Cary Pediatric Dentistry at Waverly Place in Cary. Every single person from the receptionist all the way through is patient and wonderful with kids. The only issue is they don't bill insurance so you have to pay in full up front and request reimbursement from your insurance company. The office does give you everything you need to mail the claim though.

If Dr. Christy Davis in Brier Creek is In Network for you, give her a try she's great.
