I work in the field and I would not recommend anyone go to advances. For psychiatry, I’d go to mindcare services on broadway and ask for Dr. Sandoval 562-491-6465. They offer therapy too. Other spot for therapy is Alternative Options in Cerritos 562-921-5702 or just go on psychologytoday.com and do a search.

Check and see if you can find someone at Memorial Counseling Associates: http://mcamh.com/ I saw a psychiatrist there for about two years before my insurance changed--I had Anthem Blue Cross when I was there. The location I went to is near the traffic circle on Atherton. It's an office just above the sandwich shop in the same parking lot as the In-N-Out burger.
