I need a recommendation of family practice for me for what is now a 4 week migraine and back issues along with other medical issues due to what I can only assume is a...
Jan Y. replied:
I sent my daughter to East Wake Chiropractor for her migraines. Dr Beedle is awesome and it has made a huge difference in her headaches.
Jay L. replied:
For the migraines I recommend NC Comprehensive Headache Clinic over by Rex. I have suffered with chronic migraines all of my life and was always given pain meds and pushed out the door. This is the first doctor that told me we will get you better, everything has a root cause and we will find that root cause and take care of it. He ordered genetic testing and found that there is 1 gene that I have 2 of & that gene is associated somehow with headaches.
Deborah N. replied:
Dr Beedle -East Wake Chiropractic. He's great and reasonable. Suffer from Migraine headaches for decades. Regular adjustments and hardly ever now. Regular adjustments are great for all sorts if medical issues-sinus, headaches etc. Pain is because it take a while to get body back to where it is supposed to be. There are stretching exercises-simple ones-that can help after adjustments. Get the tens(electro) treatment after adjustment also. Helps. He is great if you are cash pay. After initial visit for diagnosis. Good luck
JoAnn W. replied:
Beverly Medical Center (check their web site) will run every test known to man. Dr. Goode is an osteopath who believes in a holistic approach. Since they have you pay upfront and do not file for insurance -- and insurance doesn't pay it all -- I went long enough to get diagnosis and treatment plan, then went to another primary care doctor. Still, I learned a lot from her.
Evie G. replied:
Go over to Rex Hospital & they will be able to help you or give you the information where to go!!!!
Leattia H. replied:
This is not a family practice but they will run every test for migraine they are Raleigh Neurology Associates919-782-3456. I go their .

Amy S. replied:
I second Raleigh Neuro! My son had had a chronic migraine since April. They have been fabulous! He's 15 or I would suggest his dr but they're pediatric! They will do an MRI, blood work and prob suggest an infusion. It is supposed to "break a migraine". Best place in the area!
Shannon A. replied:

Insurance might not cover it, but a naturopath might think more outside the box. I would try a neurologist (Raleigh Neurology is awesome!) and a naturopath. Just make sure they're aware of each other:-)

Great bedside manner, easy going and really takes time to explain everything. 919-781-7500

Donna B. replied:
Drs Micchia at Primary Care Partners on Ligon Mill are both wonderful.
Jennafer J. replied:
I am discouraged now. Have an exam scheduled with a Dr at REX (not til Oct.!). Leaving WF Family for the same reason. No personalized care. Felt like a number. Follows AMA practices with out consideration of individual's history. I could go on and on. Had one doctor that I loved there. He was personable, got to know his patients, listened. He left. Why? Because of office practices that he could not adhere to because they interfered with how he practiced medicine. I don't want to go from one impersonal practice to another. Might have to cancel my Oct. appointment and go to Village Family. Why is this so hard!?
Stephanie C. replied:
Novant health, dr Gina Michia
Mike C. replied:
I have had a great experience with Dr. Scott Wagner...he takes time to listen to you & works well with me on my diabetes. I've seen Jennifer (the PA), too, and she's great as well.

Tracy W. replied:
Interesting. I was telling someone yesterday that I felt like you have a time limit with Rex Family Care, which would be just enough time for the nurse to take blood pressure, for the doctor to confirm what the nurse recorded and then prescribe something. And god forbid asking additional questions, ever if on an ongoing problem.
Michael W. replied:
